POWDER COATING MACHINE

Electrostatic powder coating machine is an indispensable key equipment in modern industrial coating. It uses the principle of electrostatic adsorption to efficiently and environmentally friendly apply powder coating to the surface of the workpiece evenly, and forms a high-performance protective decorative coating after curing. Its environmental protection, economy, coating quality and wide applicability make it an important technology to replace traditional solvent-based coatings, playing a core role in many manufacturing fields. The type of spray gun (corona or friction) to choose depends on the specific application requirements, workpiece shape, powder type and desired coating effect.

Control system:

This is the core component, responsible for the atomization, charging and spraying of powder.
Charging method:
Corona discharge type: the most common. There is a high-voltage electrode needle at the front end of the spray gun (usually with negative high voltage, so that the powder is positively charged), and the surrounding air is ionized by tip discharge. When the powder particles pass through the ionization zone, they capture ions and become charged. The advantages are high powder application efficiency and wide application of powder; the disadvantage is that back ionization may occur (affecting thick coating and corner coverage).

Control system: Integrated in the gun body or connected to the control unit via a cable, adjusts parameters such as powder flow, atomizing air pressure, and electrostatic voltage/current.

Powder hopper: Stores powder coating.
Fluidizing device: Introduces low-pressure air into the bottom of the powder barrel to make the powder suspend and tumble like a fluid (fluidization) for easy suction.
Suction pump/Venturi pump: Uses the negative pressure generated by compressed air to suck the fluidized powder out of the powder barrel and transport it to the spray gun through the powder conveying pipe. Usually has a powder flow regulation function.
Powder hose: A hose connecting the powder hopper and the spray gun to convey a mixture of powder and air.

Control panel/unit: Centrally controls the entire spraying process, including:
Output of electrostatic high voltage (voltage, current - for corona guns).
Powder delivery rate (powder output).
Atomizing air pressure (to disperse and atomize the powder).
Fluidizing air pressure.
Spray gun switch control.
